Hee! In my version:

Sam's left them to be at college, finds Jess. Things progress as they would have. Dean is coming to get him to find their father, Sam is having visions of Jess's fiery special-effects death. Except the Skinwalker gets there first, and spills all of Dean's head and guts, kills Jess, nearly finishes Sam - and actual-Dean kills the Skinwalker. And that beautiful shot of Dean looking over at almost-his-own dead body, and back at Sam. Because I want it to keep going, there - so that's the beginning. The entire premise of the series goes on, but this happened first, and Sam has to deal with that after not having seen his brother for years. And he's still having visions of Jess's death - the fire, the way it should (would) have been, along with nightmares of how it actually happened. And Dean dealing with his father being missing, and the hunting, and the way Sam looks at him sometimes because that's what Sam's remembering and Dean didn't get there fast enough to prevent that.

It was great fun trying to find a song that said either 'I know it wasn't you but someone with your skin and memories killed my almost-fiancée and tortured me while saying some things I really didn't want to know or hear' or 'Man I'm really sorry someone with my skin and memories did that and also it wasn't me even though by that point he'd totally picked up my personality oh god'. So, yes. *grin*
