So, I'm watching a couple eps of The Invisible Man: Season 2, and I keep having to pause, then rewind, because did that REALLY just happen? DID MY HEAD EXPLODE FROM JOY? Holy crap, did he just grope himself? Did Fawkes just try to bribe Hobbes with money to be with him? (see: again!!! for the second time ( Read more... )

One day... one day I swear, I will get those DVDs from the UK and sit and watch the commentaries and possibly EXPLODE FROM SQUEE!! Did you know they got in TROUBLE for how much they adlibbed these parts? There were Meetings and everything.

By the way, I have the episode of Las Vegas they guest-starred in together, if you haven't seen it :D

So much trouble! With the writers, even, right? But they couldn't help themselves really, and so many of the lines were crap that without this ad libbing, the show would not be what it is.

They starred in an episode of Las Vegas together? Bah? Why did I not know this? Tell me they actually spoke to each other.

I need there to be a movie or something: Fawkes and Hobbes' Bogus Journey. I'm going to mourn the day I see my last unseen I-Man ep even though I greedily download whatever I can.

They were BEST FRIENDS in the LV ep! Their thing was, like, the C plot or something and not the main focus but So. Funny. You need to see this.

YSI is now small-files-only land, I've got to find some place that'll take 350 megs... erg. Argh.

so many of the lines were crap that without this ad libbing, the show would not be what it is.

You are so right. Lord knows I wasn't tuning in for tight plots and realistic... anything, it was all about Darien'n'Bobby, Fawkes'n'Hobbes. *bliss*

Did you ever see this quote?

"The soul of the show is the relationship between those two
characters. People keep wanting romantic comedies on television. I
think I stole this from Robert Redford, but he once said the real
romance in Butch and Sundance is the romance between Redford and
Newman. The real love relationship in Invisible Man is between Hobbes
and Darien. What's great about it is that they fill in each other's
weakness and together they create one goofy invisible cop-spy-team."
