You know I love your vids. Add to that slashy Seth/Ryan-ness and we've got a beautiful mix going on indeed. I was wandering around shaking with excitement all the while this video was downloading, and yet I still wasn't prepared for how good it turned out to be.
Firstly - love the music. I've always wanted to vid to this song but couldn't make it work for anything I set my mind to, and yet you make it seem so effortless. You have an adept hand with creating mood by choosing brilliant clip-music matches, and it really shows here. One thing that's always fascinated me about your vids is the character insight, whether we're talking about canon vids or AUs, shipper vids or character studies. I think it largely goes down to clip choice - the way you focus on particular subtleties of character reactions/expressions. This is a gorgeous study of Ryan.
I particularly liked the brief still at 0:26, and the brightness that came after. I love how the flare of flame at 0:41 is timed with the music. The pacing of the first chorus is awesome - the internal movement of the clips is so satisfying! And then the comedown, with the police lights that flare up briefly at 1:16 - much love. Love the way you set straight editing against sections where individual scenes fade to black, it's very effective. I LOVE the clip used at 1:58 - I always think that's the quintessential Seth/Ryan slashy moment right there, and a pity it was like, a split second long. Perfectly utilised here though.
And as usual perfect, on-point editing. Gorgeous lighting effects throughout, and the white flashes to emphasise particular cymbal crashes. I love this to bits and it's definitely the best Seth/Ryan vid I've ever seen.
Your feedback constantly amazes me. Again and again it reminds me to give the audience a little credit --- you read the subtext so well, and you notice the small things that take so much time, but rarely are spotted. Thank you for constantly making vidding worth it to me. I mean, it's worth it to me to make them because I love storytelling --- but worth sharing? Worth taking the risk and putting it out there? I think that's what I mean.

Are you still struggling to find a permanent host? I've just upgraded my domain and there's a fair bit of bandwidth left over each month, so if you're keen, I would love to host a few of your vids. My site is here if you wanna have a browse around. I currently host for one other vidder - basically the files will be stored on my server and you can link to them wherever. Probably more convenient than having to reupload to yousendit every week. Just an idea though, so feel free to shoot me down if it's not your thing. :)
I have offers of permanent hosts (people willing to host vids for me), but I always feel bad if they host more than one or two, because they're usually 20mb files, sometimes more. But I wouldn't turn you down, that's for sure. YouSendIt gets very wearing. It's useful, as far as sharing goes, but re-uploading, the more videos I make, becomes a hassle. sunryse00 is currently hosting a bunch of my vids, because she's just that cool, but with the creative spurt I've had recently, I haven't wanted to overload her with them. Thank you VERY much for offering. Is there a size preference you have for a vid on your server?
