Eeeee. Okay, so I'm not a vidder, but I'm going to attempt some actual feedback as opposed to just making affirmatory noises.
First of all, I definitely agree that this is Ryan's vid. I feel like it is much more about how Ryan feels about Seth than it is about how Seth feels about Ryan. Mostly, this is because of Seth's sort of naive outlook - Seth is really happy that Ryan's around and doesn't see the dark side of being Very Very Gay in The O.C.
I love the way that certain clips of Seth - the "happy" times - are brightened. It gives the impression that even though Ryan has been through so much, it was worth it just for those bright moments.
My favorite part was, I think, where you layered the image of Ryan about to pass out with the image of Seth falling asleep on the sofa cushions. It just really shows the difference between their two worlds, as well as what Ryan is thinking about during the fight. It makes it very clear that he is fighting for Seth.
You do a great job of timing the rise and fall of the action with the rise and fall of the music. I wasn't paying much attention to the lyrics of the song, but one part I did notice was when the lyrics said "Maybe it's a trick of the light" just as Ryan stepped out of the poolhouse and saw the view from the backyard for the first time. I really liked that.
Also, I don't know if you did this on purpose, but you timed the shot of Ryan playfully slapping Seth with the map to be right after the scenes of wrestling with the gun, and right on a certain beat of the music which was exactly where I'd have expected the gunshot to be. I loved that - I'm not sure exactly what it means, but I loved it.
Anyway... it was great. Congrats on yet another fabulous vid! (Now go write me more of Cowardly Acts, woman!) Hehehe.

You did so so good. You really don't need to be a vidder to give stunning feedback like this, and this is STUNNING feedback. This video didn't get a huge response (I think I've been spoiled lately), but with feedback like this, who needs more? Thank you so much for taking the time to look a little deeper.

Marry me? Yep, I did that on purpose. I was kind of trying to show the happiness being shot in a way. Yeah, I know, way too obscure, but I couldn't bring myself to take that out.
Cowardly Acts is mostly finished, btw. Last part coming soon, and then I have another O.C. fic in the works. At least people will know to be wary of me now, as far as WIPs go. For some reason, The O.C. is just a WIP fandom for me. I can't write short fics for it, and I never end up finishing the longer stories unless I know someone is waiting on it. Although --- *stares shame-faced at unfinished HP WIP*
