This is the second subtext entry. And, you know, I'm thinking of making some kind of essay or at least an explanatory post on why I really, really like them, because a lot of people just don't get it.

I'm a sucker for bestfriends to boyfriends. I can't help it.

Have you ever tried GIMP? I love it. I don't know how it compares to PSP. It doesn't do quite everything that Photoshop does, but for web graphics it's quite adequate. It's free software, which is always nice. It also has a cute little mascot, which is, of course, of utmost importance. *g*

If you decide to give it a try, check out Grokking the GIMP as well. It's a good tutorial, particularly for people who need an introduction to using GIMP as opposed to an introduction to graphics programs in general.
