1. Even though the show is nowhere near as good as it used to be, I still can't resist doing my TAR Dance every time I hear the opening music for The Amazing Race. So much to love about this show, like how it's less about screwing with the other teams than about using your own abilities to get ahead. Plus, it's travel porn. ( Premiere spoilers. )

"Why the hell won't CBS film this show in hi-def?"

I heard it was because they need special cameras for hi-def and for the amount and the kinds of shootings they do, the cameras are just too expensive and too heavy.

Having said that, I continue to watch Amazing Race year after year. Probably the only reality show I haven't missed a season of. I even sat through all of the episodes of the horrid Family Edition.

I also liked Dana and Adrian, but there was a point where I was sure the grandmother/granddaughter or the cowboy team was going to be eliminated and I wanted both of them to stay a bit, so I was okay with seeing Dana/Adrian go.

But yes...PHIL!

Ah! That's a valid excuse for the lack of HD, though it's still frustrating.

I've watched every season since TAR4 (poor clowns), but I'll admit I did skip the family edition. ;)

I really liked the Big Brother duo, which I didn't think I would. They seem kind of adorable and supportive of each other!

It always amazes me, the stupid mistakes teams make-- especially ones that get made over and over.

They really were cute! And I hear ya on the mistakes thing, especially when they're mistakes that anyone should've figured out if they've seen the show before. But I fear that all the recruiting instead of auditioning means that many teams haven't actually seen the show.

Drat, I forgot it was on when I was watching the figure skating! (smacks self)

But I'm glad if Jordan and Jeff are likeable so far? They were *hugely* popular on BB, to the point where there's some controversy that her winning the season might've been fixed. *g*

Skating was probably a better choice. ;) It was a pretty fun episode, but the early legs are tough because all the teams blend together. And yeah, Jordan was cute. I don't remember much about Jeff.
