and yes that tan wedge shape you see is all that is currently visible of my car. My power was out for 14 hours last Sunday to Monday and that heavy wet snow remained on the trees until at least Thursday when we actually had a warm enough day or so for some significant melting to take place.
Now it's snowing again. Doing this response to your entry prompted me to head for the NWS site where I found this in their 8:25 AM Special Weather Statement for my location (please excuse the shout, all of their advisories shout):
"HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS COASTAL MAINE THROUGH
THIS MORNING. THE HEAVIEST BAND WILL STRETCH FROM PORTLAND THROUGH
BATH...WARREN...CAMDEN AND BELFAST. IN THESE AREAS...SNOWFALL
RATES NEAR 2 INCHES AN HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED...AND AN ADDITIONAL 2
TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW MAY FALL THROUGH 1000 AM.
NORTH WINDS WILL GUST TO 30 MPH AT TIMES...RESULTING IN BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE IMMEDIATE COAST."
Just a lovely setup for another power outage this. Oh joy, I thought it was maybe looking like spring.
