I have absolutely *nothing* to say tonight. Life's fine, but pretty boring. So I think I'll haul out an idea I had last year.
Tell me something you love about one or more of the following!
-- the past week
-- YouTube
-- your hometown or the town where you currently live
-- Friday Night Lights and/or 30 Rock
-- February
-- Kara Thrace :)
-- yummy-smelling bath products
-- sweets, or a great recipe for cookies
-- your morning commute
-- your DVD collection
-- LiveJournal
My answers:
-- The flu really, really sucked. But yesterday the psych gave me some samples of Rozerum for my killer insomnia. Took one last night, and it's amazing. I just wish my HMO covered it; I'll be quite sad when the samples run out.
-- Last night I spent an hour watching old Blur and Grant-Lee Phillips videos. I was THRILLED to find a decent-quality live performance of
"Happiness" and "Lone Star Song", plus his utterly gorgeous version of
Stars & Stripes. -- My cute little former-redneck-hellhole suburb is suffering through gentrification in a big way. On the plus side, this means lots of cool new shops, and a brand new Starbucks two blocks down the road.
-- FNL: I am passionately in love with the Taylor family. 30Rock: I never, ever expected for Alec Baldwin to become the highlight of my week, and Tina Fey (birthday buddy!) continues to prove her awesomeness.
-- Four-day weekend coming up! Er, one of those days is a teacher inservice, but that still counts as an off-day.
-- I LOVE KARA THRACE, AND I DON'T CARE WHO FRAKKING KNOWS! (I'll stop now before I write 1,000 words about my love for her.)
-- I used to hate Bath & Body Works's frou-frou fruity crap. They've vastly improved in the past year, and I adore the Pumpkin Pie Paradise shower gel from their holiday line.
--
Oatmeal craisin cookies are yummy AND addictive.
-- My morning commute is seven minutes long. I love gloating about that. ;)
-- My DVD collection isn't as big as others', but that's because I only buy stuff I would really want to rewatch multiple times. So I figure it's a quality-over-quantity thing.
-- This is the 913th consecutive day that I've posted *something* to LJ. That's either very impressive or very scary.
Hmm, I figure that's a fairly varied list! Oh, and one BSG fandom thing: there's a new
videoblog up at scifi.com. If you know the basic premise of the episode "A Day in the Life", you should be safe.
I'm very amused that Caroline/CarolAnne Adama bears a striking resemblance to Tricia Helfer. Hee! Good thing we've never gotten a Six/Lee hookup, though the Oedipal implications would be rather hilarious to see.
