Pluses and Minuses. (And why does "pluses" look weird?)

Just got home from Flicks on 5th with biftec, suenix, and musing_mia. So much fun seeing them, and we had a lovely conversation -- which is especially nice since they all knew me but didn't know each other. :) "Failure to Launch" was less successful, though. Guessing where it was filmed (MD and DE) was more entertaining than the movie itself, but Bradley Cooper provided lovely eye candy. So... friends=yay!, movie=bleh.

In lieu of substantive content, I shall list things that either delighted or annoyed me today.

+ Rewatching "Bride and Prejudice" on one of the movie channels. Aishwarya Rai definitely earned that Miss World beauty crown, and I always get a kick out of Naveen Andrews' British accent (even though I'd known of him before Lost.)

- The movie "theater" was just a blocked-off street with a giant inflatable movie screen (trust me on this one.) Suenix and I bought dinner at Tin Drum, which earned us a little table and chairs for our group. Some other people decided to sit on the ground behind me, which meant I was blocking their view. Several times during the movie, one of them yelped, cleared her throat, or made some whiny remark about how she couldn't see. Look, bitch, if you couldn't see around me, then 1) let me know politely, and I'll be more than happy to try and accomodate you, or 2) MOVE.

- The carpet cleaners did not put all my furniture back where it belongs. 'Course, I'm moving in ten days, so does it really matter?

+/- Diet Dr. Pepper at 5-for-$10 was enough to break my seven-year Kroger boycott; however, I still kinda hate Kroger. Stupid loyalty cards.

- One of my biggest peeves is when people just leave grocery carts in the parking lot, instead of pushing them to the corral thingies. And I don't mean corrals located way across the lot -- this one was three spaces away. And I thought *I* was a lazyass. Sheesh.

+ I wrote a Kara/Zak ficlet for greycoupon, with tattoo-y fun. Hope to write a second part tonight for trinnifer. ;)

+/- I hate air travel, unless I'm going someplace new and exotic. Dallas is definitely neither new nor exotic. On the plus side, I'll be seeing my family tomorrow, which is always lovely!

friends, summer, fic, shopping
