My school is going wild for The Hunger Games. Seems like half the students and faculty are reading it. Yesterday they showed the trailer on our CCTV during literacy class, and that's all the kids talked about the rest of the day. Of course, I'm thrilled because I love the series. I swear the trailers get me all emotional. I get all misty-eyed when she volunteers...
I'm going to be a wreck for most of the movie, I just know it.

I love the idea of boys reading the Hunger Games, because really, we need to get them reading stuff with female protagonists.

It really is exciting to see that the boys like The Hunger Games. My 13-year-old Nephew is actually the one who got me to read the series. His class read all three books and he loved all of them. It shocked me how much he liked it because normally he hates to read. He's really excited about the movie and we already have plans to see it together.

One of my library teen groups is so excited they planned their own LARP of the arena. They're going to demonstrate it for us on Valentine's Day. I can't think of any better way to celebrate.
