Three-day weekends are marvelous, aren't they? Mine has been pretty quiet. I did make it down to Dragon*Con, though only for a few hours last night while I had dinner with some lovely friends. This afternoon I headed to Macy's -- always a depressing visit -- for a friend's wedding present. The rest of the weekend has been spent loafing around the house, reading novels, toying with a fic idea, and playing way too much Spider Solitaire. Just the way I like it.
While doing laundry, I've been debating what to do about my summer clothes. I can't seem to get past the adage of "no whites after Labor Day", even though it's outdated. On the other hand, the weather here in Atlanta will be in the 80s for the rest of the month, and my closet is currently full of summery pastels and sleeveless shirts. I'm sure nobody would care, and I've never been that fashionable anyway. But that old rule is still stuck in my head.
