There is just so much wrong with DELL that I could write a book on it. First of all their warranty for one. What's up with just a one year warranty, most when most computer problems start up in the second year. Then there's the boot CD. Unlike other computer companies DELL doesn't give out boot CDs, oh no if you recently formatted your computer then guess what your going to have to find out what type of drivers your computer will need. Never mind the fact that if the driver is over a year old then DELL won't have it on their website anymore.
Here's a thought if you're not going to keep the drivers on the website then why don't you just give customers their boot CD so that they'll still have the driver they need. Oh but you must be thinking, oh don't you just need to see the model number, if it was just that then I'd be okay but its not. You see the hardware in your system has versions to it, and DELL just has this little habit of neglecting to tell you what type of hardware they just installed in your system. Oh and don't bother calling to ask them for help especially after that first year because then they'll charge you $100+ to install the drivers, drivers that they should have given you in the first place.
Oh and lets not talk about their customer service. First of all that machine in on for way to long, and did I forget to mention that they give you no direct numbers to technical support. Oh no you have to first deal with a computer asks you the most redundant questions, redundant because by the time you do get to talk to an actual person they'll ask you same questions. Dell scored a 60 in customer service but in my opinion that was being too generous. It takes about 20 minutes to finally talk to a person and when you do, you risk the line being cut off, and then you have to start all over again. Pssh. In recent years DELL has become out of touch with its customers, and its just getting worse. They're unhelpful, money grubbing, and provide the biggest unnecessary headaches known to man. My personal advice for anyone thinking about getting a DELL whether as a present or just for personal use, DON'T. Trust me on this it'll save you from headaches and murderous thoughts(most directed at the company executives, or who ever had the bright idea to come up with such a fail). I swear I'm about to either remove all the DELL hardware, and software from my system so that it'll run properly or just get a laptop either way the DELL interface has got to go!! Either A I configure my system so that its no longer a DELL or B I buy a new system that's not a DELL. Either way dude, I'm getting rid of my DELL. Now to DELL I only give my one finger salute and hope that you go bankrupt. They've given no reason at all to be loyal to them, instead all they've given me is a deep seated hatred, that only grows every day. Oh well.
