(no subject)
Yesterday was a bit of a yo-yo that ended well...so I'll just talk about that! hehe...
Mary and I went shopping in the evening. She had a gift card and some Christmas cash to spend so off we went. She wanted to go to Top to Bottom tried on a nice amount of things, but then she decided she'd rather shop a bit more to see what was out there. Before heading to the mall, I took her for Pho. She ended up going with something familiar (orange chicken) and I had a big bowl of soup. Happy Tummy!
Then off to the mall we went...we had all of an hour before it closed, ended up getting a great pair of boots for under $15, underthings, and a surprisingly feminine top. We both enjoyed the trip.
Today, J was having a slow morning w/ the kids so I took the opportunity to take a load of donations in and then instead of puttering in town I pointed my car toward Estacada and spontaniously turned when I saw a sign for Eagle Fern Park. The road took me up into trees with a creek alongside...even the sun was showing it's beams through the tree cover. It was just a little time out and so close.....I know this will be a place I go bring a journal, a lawn chair, and a thermos of coffee for a time alone, but also with the family. Hiking trails, fishing, even a wooden play structure and a slide. But oh...the creek was lovely....being out restores my soul.
