Eclipse
In thirty two nights when the day is hung
an eternity will have come to pass
since the world spun tired and fell asleep
a globe of glass a window for the weak
the last way to see through to you my love
who cowardly hid behind the earth and burned
But oh to see a glimmer of your light
I leaned too close and filled the world with frost
my breath so cold I saw myself again
mirrored back without a ray of light
Gone
A memory you of glorious day
rotating with the cool soft shadow of night
I wander now in this palace of ice
where each frozen tree sings to understand
the silence of snow when it rests on the heart
So sudden was the warmth taken away
no lovers will find color in my cheek
And yet these tiny rainbows do appear
in all the crystals of these winter leaves
A home of stars and chandeliers
the last of your love reflected of me
