Virtual postcard from LA
Hello all! I'm currently sat in a hotel room overlooking Venice Beach in Los Angeles! So far it seems a bit like Malaga, but everyone talks a language I can understand (except the cab drivers). I think this is where Baywatch was set. There's cute little stalls all along the beach front, selling all kinds of tat, from clocks to telling your fortune. Lots of hippies too. I quite like it. Di would too.
Of course, I should have been here a day earlier, but I got stuck in HORRENDOUS traffic and missed my flight. So now I only have one night in the USA before I fly back home tomorrow night. Shame, as I've missed the chance to do any sight seeing now. Oh well, next time.
I'm over here to do a shoot with John Hurt for Merlin. We did all the rest of them in Soho, but they didn't finish the last script in time and he had filming commitments over here. So here I am!
Christ I'm going to be fucked by the time I get home - my body hasn't got a clue what's hit it already! It's 18:20 local time, and the sun is shining bright. But it's 02:20 in England, and I've been up since 6am and not managed to sleep :-(
Oh well, better make the most of it...
