I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.
-Robert Louis Stevenson
Last time: Our G3 heiress, Palia Floosby, took her first vacation to the tropical paradise of Twikkii Island. While there, she completed 14 vacation mementos and fell madly in love with a local tribesman by the name of Turtle (by
slyndsey).
This time, there will be a tribal wedding and a Far Eastern honeymoon!

slyndsey After getting back home from her island vacation, Palia decided to purchase a couple of vacation homes...with her parents money of course! She bought large homes in both Twikkii Island and Takemizu Village. She planned on having her wedding to Twikkii local Turtle right there in her new beachside home.
But first Palia wanted to deal with the family butler. She was tired of him setting things on fire and she definitely didn't want him raising her future children after seeing how inept he was with herself and her siblings. So now that she's officially in charge of the family, she fired him! Hurray! The Floosby family survived the murderous butler. Farewell Jeeves.
Anyway, back to the hilite of this update! Palia and her family took a vacation back to Twikkii Island for her wedding to Turtle. It's good to see that Turtle still thinks she's hot.
They had a traditional Twikkii tribal wedding right there on the beach. All of Palia's family even got dolled up in traditional tribal wedding-wear.
The setting was breathtaking and oh-so-romantic for our newlyweds!
The Floosby's go tribal!
And the rest of the family left the newlyweds alone for the rest of the day. Turtle thinks it's pretty cool being married for all of 5 minutes. And as you can see, they're already eager to bring on Generation 4!
The family had only taken a 3 day vacation for this wedding, so they spent their time doing relaxing stuff. Turtle and Palia got some sun, and Turtle ended up with a super cool tan! I didn't know custom skins would tan!
Palia spent the first night digging in the sand in the hopes of finding buried treasure or a map. She got lucky and found a nice treasure chest, which earned her the memento "Find the buried treasure". She already has the 3 maps because her grandma Ahryl gave them to her as a gift, but unfortunately that doesn't count towards the memento for digging one up yourself.
Turtle spent the next day of their vacation getting to know his new in-laws. Dexel obviously doesn't approve of Turtles dreams of entering politics. (Turtle's LTW is to become the Mayor.)
The family spent the last night of their trip together around a nice campfire. They toasted marshmallows and sang some songs. Cicada got a little mushy and started talking about all her favorite memories of when her kids were little.
Palia and her handsomely tan husband spent some time cuddling under the stars. This is the last time Turtle will be in his homeland for awhile!
At least he knows how to go out with a bang! They're seriously trying to have a baby!
The newlyweds weren't the only ones being romantic. Celder and Cicada had their own island romance going on. Even after all these years, they're still so cute together!
With the island wedding trip over and the Floosby's back at home, Palia and Turtle embark on their real honeymoon. This time they travel to the Far East: Takemizu Village. This earns the memento "Immerse yourself in tradition and culture".
And they take a tour right away. This tour didn't end so well...
Bees! Why's it always gotta be bees?! This tour was 4/5 for "Follow a guide to 5 new sites" and 4/9 for "Be guided to all the local sites".
After the bee fiasco, the couple decided to take a tiny break from tours. So they had lunch at the food booth where they tried a local dish called chirashi which earned the memento "Try a fishy eastern delicacy".
Next was a little time for relaxation and meditation. Palia raked the zen garden which earned the memento "Landscape the Zen way".
And then it was time for more tours. This one went well and Palia earned a charisma point. This tour earned her the memento "Follow a guide to 5 new sites" and counted as 5/9 for "Be guided to all the local sites".
Another bad tour, but at least she didn't get attacked by anything afterwards. 6/9 for "Be guided to all the local sites".
Palia and Turtle found the ninja out and about one day. You can see Turtle was too busy learning how to bow to take any notice of the ninja. But Palia chased him down and answered his questions.
She answered correctly and learned the ancient art of teleportation. Now she's a teleporting fiend and refuses to simply walk anywhere. This earned the memento "Travel like a ninja".
Tea time! Gah, these two are just so adorable together. This earned the "Enjoy a warm cup of tea" memento.
And after much practice, Palia finally learns how to bow earning the "Take a bow" memento.
She also makes a wish at the Lucky Shrine Park which earned "Make a wish!", but it doesn't look like it went well.
More bees?! Takemizu seriously has a killer bee infestation problem.
Some more relaxation was needed after an afternoon of running away from bees, so Palia got a much deserved massage. She also learned how to give an acupuncture massage which earned the memento "Learn the ancient massage of the Far East".
Next up on the list of things to do, Palia finally finds someone to teach her how to do tai chi. It happens to be the same kid that taught her how to bow. Come to think of it, I think he's the only one in Takemizu that I've seen do any of the local gestures/dances. Anyway, this earns the memento "Join in ancient exercise".
And then Palia tries her hand at mahjong. It takes her quite a few games, but she finally wins and earns "Use those tiles and win!".
And lastly, the newlyweds head out to the secret lot and befriend the hermit. He teaches them the dragon legend, which earns the "Learn a Far Eastern Tale" memento. Also, going to this lot means 2/3 for "Uncover all the vacation secrets".
Also, both of these trips finished up the required number of good trips for the memento "Third time's the charm". So after the wedding trip and the honeymoon, Palia earned another 14 mementos! And as you can see she's now a Veteran Vacationer and a little over half way to achieving the G3 goal of getting all vacation mementos. Man, I'm really enjoying this generation!
