They had nothing to say to each other. She knew this moment was the one that mattered, the moment that was bound to break them. She felt his eyes on her, waiting for hers to meet them. She glanced up, and actually felt his eyes on her heart. He watched her shake her head and look at the ground, not failing to notice the tears in her eyes. She felt the urge to ask what she did, why he wanted to be single so bad, why he had already kissed another girl, what was so wrong with her that he couldn't find the desire to stay? He watched her mouth open and close, clearly trying to form words. She gave the tiniest shake of her head and continued staring at their feet. He was dying to ask what was on her mind, but he was scared of the answer. The last thing he wanted was her to cry in front of him.. it caused her to need him, even if for only a minute, and he was trying to get her to stop. He was staring at the sky above her lowered head, waiting for her to say something. She was the problem in the relationship, though he would never tell her that, so why was he going to try to find the words to fix this? His mess, not hers, he thought to himself. She looked upward, trying to get the tears to go away. A relationship works both ways, she thought sadly. It seemed she was the only one with intentions of fixing it. It seemed, actually, that she was the only one that ever tried, always the one to apologize first, always the one to back out of an arguement for the sake of their relationship. Why didn't he give a damn? Why couldn't he get over himself for a god damned second?  She looked up at him, finally finding the words that she knew would sting, the words that ended this perfectly. She thought the plan out in her head for a minute.  She'd walk away after saying it, not a glance back, not a second thought, not a word more.  He'd miss her, she'd make sure of it. And if not, then even better. She would walk away stronger, the winner, the one who didn't back down, who didn't come crawling back.  She was letting go, and she'd be a better person for it. "Thanks," she said, finishing the sentence silently in her head, "for the best damn time of my life," spun on her heel, and closed the door in his sorry face. Screw that, she deserved better then a relationship that screamed "dead end".  Let him wonder what she was thankful for.
the beginning of a new me. goodbye doormat, hello hard to get.
thanks for teaching me the hardest lesson i've learned so far.
thanks for the best time of my life.. you will be missed.
Sweetee, you were just surving with him, and lemme tell you, theres a hell of difference between surviving and living.
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand
Forget about what you thought you were and just accept who you are.
He had the kind of voice you wanted to confess things to.
put music to our troubles, and we'll dance them away.
but it's different when you're lonely and the whole world's in love.

sometimes love isn't how its found, sometimes its how its lost.
