I sometimes find I miss out on learning about technological advancements that I find interesting. This is partly due to the pace these improvements are made. To me, 5 years seems like a long time, but to the world of technology, that's what it takes to develop something complex and innovative. It's so cool to see the new things coming into use today that were only an idea with a proof of concept when I was in highschool. I now realize that many of the gadgets I had back then went through the same process and just as those types of innovations made it into regular circulation, the successful ideas from 1 tech generation ago will make it to the same user-base in this generation. Well have more media resources available to us as well as new technological items that change the everyday, innovate science, improve health and provide more understanding.
I look in awe at all the knowledge that we had 10 years ago and yet over the past decade all the new information that has surfaced is even more impressive. I can't possibly keep up with it all, but I do hope to eventually find my own little niche in that progress and to work on something innovative of my own.
