Oh wow, what a touching story! I loved that ending. In the A/N you said you were worried might not sound like Helga or Arnold, but I think you needn't worry - I mean, there's so much room for these character to grow and change between childhood and adulthood. I found this story perfectly within the realm of possibility. :)

Oh, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And, I'm quite relieved about that -- that they're weren't too out of characters. It's hard trying to figure out the balance, especially since we're trying to write them as adults when we know them as kids.

This is the very first Hey Arnold! fic I've ever read, and I'm so glad that it's wonderful! I love the tenderness between them now, and that Helga is still a little jumpy and caustic. And Arnold as an anthropology professor -- so cute!
