Author’s Note: I don’t really know…still need to work on character voices seriously. And this is a weird idea…and I don’t think I got it quite executed rightly. But, this is basically an AU where Tim is a sin-eater. And he goes around eating people’s sins. The first one just happened to be Jason, and yeah…I’ll probably do each of the Bats. And they’ll be in drabble like form. And somehow…this doesn’t feel that coherent. Also, there should be more added to this. Like, how Jason got here and…maybe later.

“Fuck! Who’s there?” Jason cursed and tried to light a candle. The match he had flickered orange and died. Jason cursed again, fumbling. On the third try, the candle was finally lit. The room was still dark, the small stub of wax unable to light more than a diameter of five inches. There was nothing but silence and Jason’s own breathing.
He picked up the candle and wielded it as if a word, scanning the perimeter of his room. He saw nothing but his belongings. He shivered anyway. Just when Jason was about to put it down as his usual paranoia, there was a noise.
“Okay,” he said angrily. “Who the fuck is there?”
Jason pointed the candle in its direction. A man shrouded in a dark heavy cloak stood there, face hidden by the hood. This annoyed Jason. That a man should entered his home so easily and quietly.
“Who the hell are you?” Jason snarled. The man stepped forward, hands rising to pull off his hood. Inky locks framed a pale face with blue eyes that seemed familiar to Jason. The man’s gaze was intent and serious.
“It does not matter,” he said. “But if it matters, for you, I am Timothy.”
Jason sneered. “How did you get in? Answer fast or I’ll bludgeon you.”
A sad smile stretched across Timothy’s lips. “I am your replacement.”
“What?” Jason stared. “What are you talking about?”
A cold terror dropped onto Jason. Replacement?
“I am your replacement,” Timothy repeated. He spread his arms out in a gesture of repentance. “I am the sin eater, and your sins I will take.”
The candle went out, and Jason felt a cold hand on his forehead. He couldn’t move.
“I’ll take your sins, swallow it whole. Take it raw and burn it down my throat, scalding. And you shall be free.”
Jason’s eyes started to close involuntarily, and the last thing he heard was those dreaded words.
“I am your replacement.”
