[The surprise would have worked better if Yuuko couldn't feel his presence as soon as he was at her gates.
There is a pause after he knocks (two could play that game~) and then the door eases open slowly, even though there is no one there to physically open it. If Moro and Maru had been with her, Clow would've been jumped by two pink and periwinkle little doll-girls now, but alas, you worked with what you have.
And there she's standing, just past the entrance area, dressed in a plain, layered robe.]
[He leans to one side a bit, the gesture complimenting the opening of the door, and smiles when he sees her. He's not wearing anything fancier than a trenchcoat, himself.]
[It never ceases to astonish and humble him that he's so transparent to her. Not that it's a bad feeling altogether, but it is an unusual one.]
Certainly~. [He half-bows and reaches to take the lady's hand in a comically formal manner, even if the lady in question is not exactly known for being a fragile flower of femininity.]
[No, she's not the epitome of fragility, but Yuuko does appreciate the gestures sparingly (they're nostalgic in a way) and she accepts his arm, stepping into her shoes with practised ease.]
I was not certain I would stay to see Autumn visit this world. [she says, not an admission, but something like it. Yuuko's in a good mood today; Autumn always was her favourite season after all.]
[He smiles at that - he hadn't been certain, either, and it had worried him because he could also see this world clinging to him well into winter and even next spring. The idea of being here without her kept him awake at night sometimes, as much as he would never admit that. Then again, perhaps she already knows.]
I'm glad that you did. Autumn alone would have made good company, but I think I am spoiled by having two of my favorite ladies here at once~. [It could be said that his favorite season is whichever one is here at the moment.]
