I have to admit, I really like this show. I can't always explain why things appeal to me, but this one does. I got the available seasons for a couple of recent gift-giving occasions, and I've literally devoured them, sometimes a whole disk at a time. I think I started out liking the concept--the whole math thing appealed to the geek in me. Second season seemed to be more about the principal characters. Third season has fleshed out the supporting cast.
I wonder if someday I'll want to write a fanfic about it. The funny thing is, right now, I don't. I've had many TV/Movie/Book loves in my life, but have only written about two: Star Wars (the original movies) and Harry Potter. I wonder sometimes what is was about those two that made me want to be more than just a spectator. The Numb3rs thing is getting close to obsessive behavior (I'm literally having to dole the episodes out to myself like treats once work is done) but so far, I haven't been inspired to write. I'm content to watch--and I don't think it's because of the college thing, either. I'm not backburnering ideas to work on later. There's just no real desire to create even though I obviously adore the show.
How weird is that?
