Valentines on hold
The family as a whole wasn't ready for Valentine's Day, so we decided to put it off until next week sometime. This has the added benefit of maybe scoring some sale merchandise. :-)
My mother in law's birthday is coming up, so I made her a bracelet. I think it turned out fairly well. I used the pieces of chain from the bracelet that didn't work and joined them with copper rosettes. I learned today that chain maille pieces have to be tumbled to smooth them off. Maybe I have enough time to look into that before I have to mail it.
We went out for a while today--more to get out of the house than any pressing need to do anything. We did get the daughter unit some winter boots that she's been needing, so I guess it wasn't all superfluous. :-)
