45 minutes left of Christmas this year. This year my parents lavished presents on me and I'm just as thankful as I have been in previous years. I think I need to step back and put my life into perspective. Some time to truly express my gratitude would be fitting.
gist of the presents mom got me: new clothes/wardrobe
present from dad: iPod Touch
I'm very excited about everything. I also got Laura and Lisa some really neat glass bowls that look like they were inspired by conch shells; Laura especially loves them.
Family family everywhere and what a thought to think. It's been tricky doing things a bit untraditionally these past few years for Christmas. There are many people to see and people to love and people to not get shortfused with (like a sister).
This year was great bc dad's friends Gerrard and Ann Marie from France, who used to live with him, came to visit from Florida. It was good to catch up with them since we haven't seen them for 5 years. They prepared an enormous turkey dinner for us xmas eve (both of them are exquisite cooks {they run a restaurant [and they're french]}), so big that I felt like a glutton.
I need to focus on completing my goals for this break. One main one is spending more time with God. Others are getting a doctor appointment and new glasses.
Ok, time to spend the last half hour with my family.
Peace out, joy in.
