Operation

So my "alien Baby" pain is resolved.

Had an appointment Thursday morning and everything turned out normal. She wanted to schedule me an ultrasound for that day, but there was no opening 'til Monday. Said it might be my appendix. I went home and tried to sleep through the pain and whatnot and wait it out. I finally gave in and went to the ER at about 10:30pm. It took forever to be admitted and I couldn't get comfortable at all. Finally, after everyone pressed on my stomach and back ("Does this hurt? How about here? And here?"), they gave me a bed and a fabulous chalky intestine outlining milkshake to drink and wait another 2 hours. I had a catscan and other stuff done and they decided to take the thing out. They put me on morphine for pain and I freaked out, had a really bad reaction to it. Later, they tried something new and it worked alright with a baby dose. I'm such a wimp. I went into surgery at about 7 am Friday morning and they made three cuts in my belly to look around and pull it out through. Yay success! No huge gashes or scars for later. They also think I had an ovarian cust that had burst prior to my surgery because they found fluid and blood floating around my pelvic region. Spent night number two in the hospital. Zack, Vicki, Dave, my aunt Kelly and the baby came to visit when I wasn't sleeping. They let me go today and now I'm home, with about 2 weeks off from work to recover. My belly still hurts, but hopefully it'll stop in a few days.

So, I'm alive and I didn't have an alien baby living inside of me afterall. I think my brother was a little hopeful for that. I kind of look pregnant now because my stomach swelled so much. Ah well. I've got a lot of movie time now! I'm just bummed because they had to break my toe rings off and they operated over my belly button, ruining the piercing hole. I'm just glad they got my appendix out before it got really bad and burst. I would've been a whole lot sicker.
