Interview with Jessica from Laguna Beach
I did an interview with Jessica Smith, star of MTV's Laguna Beach ! So exciting!
Jessica Smith, star of MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County is back for a third season! She was a minor character in season 1 and then a lead in season 2. Now that she's known for the hot girl in Laguna, things are looking up for Jessica as she's been hired to be a spokesperson by Let's Go Travel Guides. She travelled to London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin.
Aaron: What was the process when you signed on to do the show Laguna Beach?
Jessica Smith: Well, we had to fill out like this 1000 page packet, well it wasn't really that long but it was pretty lenghty. Then if they liked what they saw you were called in for a second interview. After the first season aired, we had to do 4 more seasons, so I did the second and now I am on the third.
Aaron: How was your reaction when you first saw yourself on TV?
Jessica Smith: OMG I was like, Do I really sound like that? I didn't realize I had a high pitched voice. Thank God for editing! LOL It still kinda shocks me because to me I am dorky Jess not the hot girl from Laguna Beach.
Aaron: Do you get recognized a lot? if so, what was one of the craziest fan encounters you've experienced?
Jessica Smith: Everywhere I go I do. It's Bananas! Well one of the most craziest things that has happened to me was when I was on Tour with Dieter doing that RH4T Promo. Some girl in Illinois came up to me and was like, "OMG Laguna Beach got me through Navy Life. I watched you guys all the time thank you so much!" and she gave me her military ID, which I still have. I just thought it was cool that like, we helped someone from just being ourselves!
Aaron: When you were filming, did you think about what to say or did you just talked freely with your friends?
Jessica Smith: Why would I think I was just being myself! And there are alot of things said that I wish I could take back, but oh well can't change the past.
Aaron: What's the best thing about filming a reality tv show?
Jessica Smith: Those moments you'll never be able to live were caught on camera for us to share again and not a lot of people can say that!
Aaron: and the worst?
Jessica Smith: Too many to list, but I think one would have to be all the posers out there. It kinda sucks!
Aaron: Career wise - what do you want to do /accomplish?
Jessica: To be successful! I'll be happy with that!
Aaron: What's your favorite band, and why?
Jessica Smith: I have so many! Well one would have to be Summit Avenue. Those guys are amazing and I see them every chance I can. Also Kelan and Chase's band Open Air Stereo just because I have seen them grow!
Aaron: What's the last book you've read?
Jessica: Beautiful Strange. Great book.
Aaron: If you had one wish, what would it be and why?
Jessica Smith: I would wish for 1 million more!
