“Keep it up, Buffalina, and you will see a replay of Christmas '91,” Tony warned as Buffy threw pieces of popcorn at his head with alarming accuracy in attempt to distract him from his game against Clint.

“You might want to rethink that strategy, oh 'so-called genius',” Buffy countered, throwing another piece of popcorn that bounced off the tip of his nose. She got a perverse sense of joy of watching him flinch from the small pieces flying around his face.

“I will have you know that I am a certified genius, Little Miss California,” he said, managing to make the statement sound like he was pointing his finger, despite the fact that his hands were full of the game controller. “And I think Christmas '91 is an excellent strategy.”

An indelicate snort escaped Buffy's lips that drew a raised eyebrow of surprise from Natasha. “Except it doesn't exactly paint you in a pleasant light considering you were sixteen and I was only ten.”

Clint's head whipped around to look at her, his game against Tony completely forgotten in his surprise at her statement. “Wait a minute! Are you telling me, that you guys knew each other before this?”

“Of course we did,” Tony said with a smirk as he kicked out with his foot and knocked the controller from Clint's hands. “You are a spy. Thought you knew that. And suck it! I win!” He yelled as the screen agreed with his proclamation and threw his arms in the air in victory.

“Oh please,” Buffy said with a roll of her eyes. “Clint totally had you until you decided to spring that disastrous Christmas upon us all. Don't think I don't recognize what you are doing, I know you.”

“No, no, no, no! You do not get to pretend that you didn't just drop that bombshell on us all,” Clint protested. “Buffy, you have been a part of this team for over six months. How the hell did you hide this?”

To be honest, they hadn't really been trying to hide anything, but it just seemed to end up that way. Besides, it was best that they all found out the truth together and eliminate the need to repeat themselves. Although she was sure that there would be lots of requests for stories in the coming weeks. Buffy's eyes twinkled as she smiled sweetly at Tony and answered, “Years of practice ignoring wee little Antonio.”

“Oh, you are asking for it!” Tony cried vaulting from his sitting position on the sofa to tackle Buffy on the floor.

Steve jumped out of the way as the two rolled around on the floor. “I've seen you spar with Buffy, I'm not really sure what you think you're going to accomplish here,” Steve pointed out.

“I used to win these fights,” Tony declared.

“You were six years older and bigger,” Buffy countered before flipping them so he was on his back. “I've got slayer strength now and you are an old man,” she declared before viciously tickling his sides causing him to squeal.

Clint raised his hand in the air. “Who else did not know about the tickling?”

“Grow up, Clint,” Natasha said with a withering look that only caused him to grin cheekily at her. “You obviously didn't read the file closely enough.”

“JARVIS, Do you know what they're talking about?” Steve asked with a grin as he watched Tony manage to get the upper hand by squirming around to tickle the soles of Buffy's feet.

“Sir and Buffy are not formally related but spent parts of their childhood together. Sir's godmother and Buffy's grandmother were sisters and would occasionally spend family functions together.”

“I don't know what is more terrifying - the thought of Buffy having to spend any of her formative years around Tony or the thought of him being a child in general,” Clint said with a chuckle as Buffy finally got her pseudo-relative in a headlock and gave him a nuggy.

Buffy shoved Tony away and jumped to her feet to dance a victory dance around the room. “Finally! After thirty-five years, I have emerged champion!”

He glared up at her from the floor, decidedly disheveled. “You wait until I tell Peg, you're gonna be in so much trouble.”

“Oh, puh-lease, she'll be too busy congratulating me for finally kicking your ass to laugh at your suggestion of punishment,” Buffy said, sticking her tongue out before collapsing back onto the couch. “I'm just the poor, innocent, younger cousin defending herself.”

“I'll give you the poor and younger, but definitely not innocent,” Tony said with a wheeze from the floor.

“Peg?” Steve asked softly, a stricken look on his face.

Tony sat up suddenly in alarm. “Oh, shit. Sorry, Rogers.”

“What?” Buffy asked in confusion, looking between the two men.

“Peggy Carter,” Tony said softly. He gave Steve a look full of sympathy. “She's still alive, you know. She'd love to see you. Even still mentions you during our monthly calls.”

Buffy's eyes widened as she finally put two and two together. “Aunt Peg. Oh, Steve, I'm sorry. I didn't even think...”

Blue eyes, bright with unshed tears, looked at her full on and Buffy felt her heart clench at the old pain in them. “It's okay. I just forget sometimes that she led a full life and had a wonderful family. I'm just glad to know she had wonderful people like you two in it.”

“How are you even real?” Buffy asked with a roll of her eyes. “And I'm not sure I would classify Tony as wonderful.”

“I have many wonderful qualities,” Tony said with a huff.

“Yes, but can you beat me at thumb wrestling?” Clint said with a grin as he held out his fist in the classic pose and managed to pull a small chuckle from Steve.

“Oh, you are on, Barton!”
