Life in early March

So here I am, starting my third month of teaching already. Things have been better, but they've also been worse. I keep waiting for Campion to turn the corner and become the little loves that I know they are. I called them Sparklecats today. They thought I was insulting them. SIGHHHHHH. So difficult.

But! I'm still here and not failing too terribly. Got an e-mail from Mac today about a job opening in Waltham. It would be closer to home and a job! He said he'd get me an interview. Funny how much love I have for that guy these days after so long of feeling like I wanted to punch him in the throat.

Sarah and I moved into our new place. I really like it. There are some little glitches... the fridge only closes if you press on the bottom corner with your foot, the stove may or may not light on fire or may or may not simply stop working without warning, the toilet is eternally clogged for no reason, our landlady is absolutely nuts... but it's ours and it's starting to feel like home and it's wonderful to finally be living with someone that I love.

Speaking of love: I am in a lot of it. Scott is absolutely wonderful and everything I've ever wanted. He brushes his feet off before he gets in bed; he rinses the pepper seeds out of peppers before he cooks them; he kisses me like he means it every single time; he's clever, witty, lovely, sensitive, supportive.

Things are looking pretty good so far. They really, really are.
