its sad
It's sad when 1 person gets made fun of so much that they think suicide is the only way to fix things. I admit that I'm guilty of what ever other person has done...making fun of someone. It saddens me to hear that a very pretty teenage girl has commited suicide because of being picked on and other things I'm sure.
When I lived in Hawaii I got picked on...no joke...it really sucked. I moved here and got picked on... I was strong enough to get through it and with friends and family banished the hate and anger that I had for those people and turned them into positives. I got a best friend who I still have, a boyfriend (yeah the first few not so great. My Ian, well hes awesome ) and lost my acne. It worked out.
It feels horrible to know that one day someone who you never talk to becasue they aren't cool enough, they aren't in the right high school bullshit clique, or you just think that they are flat out wierd could one day not be there. Regardless if it's because of suicide or a car accident everyone will suddenly realize how much they wish that they had talked to the person. I now know what I should have long ago...talk to people even if you think they are wierd or ugly or whatever. Just say hi..it could save them.
College has taught me this in a big way. In school there are no stupid cliques, eveyone is the same, yeah we have the "wierd" kids but they aren't excluded. By talking to as many people as you can you meet some of the best people, the nicest people, the people you never thought you'd know. You have the chance everyday to meet someone new. Life teaches us that we need to get out there, be nice to others, say hi, give someone else a smile. It could save someones life.
