Sweat, blood, and achy muscles

I am so sore! Dan and I did yardword for the first time and hopefully the last time. We decided that we want a lawn service! It took us 4 hours today to pick up all the pine cones, fertilize the lawn, and mow. It's not even completely finished. The part behid our fence which we had cut down still needs a lot of work. We need to buy a hoe to clean it up. It was funny, we were back there picking up pine cones and Dan said we need to get a metal rake to clean it up. I told him that a rake would be too flimsy and he said no that's what we need. He kept describing it and I realize he was talking about a hoe. He said "I didn't know what it was called. I'm a city boy. I don't know about farmer boy hoes. I only know the kind that live on street corners." He's so funny! We've also changed our locks, added deadbolts, replaced our mailbox, bought a gorgeous rug for our bedroom floor, and a futon for the back room. Our house is coming along. I can't wait to paint this summer!

We also played a lot of Rock Band this weekend. It was fun, but now my throat is sore from singing. Good thing I only have one more week of school before Spring Break. I wish I was on Spring Break this week. I can't believe we're going from two weeks of testing to a regular week and then a week off. This would have been a perfect week off! Things were tense before the test and now things are tense because of the budget cuts were expecting next year. A lot of the support stadd is going to lose their jobs. I am relieved to be a classroom teacher. I just hope I get to stay in fourth grade next year.

Well I am tired and very sore. Just wanted to make a house project post.
