Kamiyama blog - Las Vegas trip (1)

Dec 16, 2007 00:06

I was planning on doing more while I was traveling, but I ended up talking to a lot of people instead of hiding in a corner like I had planned... I actually finished most of day 3, too, but there are a lot of parts I'm not sure about that I need to check, and I haven't done the last paragraph yet... Anyway, here's his intro post to the whole trip thing, and his first day.

2007/12/12 - I'm back--!!

Today, I came back to Japan safely and did a photo shoot with everyone for "Top Stage☆
I was really happy to be able to see the energetic faces of all the Blue Sheets cast members♪

For my trip, I went on a one-man journey to Las Vegas.

I went for English, photography, and most importantly, to study the shows there.
That is to say, it has always been my dream to watch a Las Vegas show, so this time, I took off nine days and went☆
It was a really moving and encouraging experience.

I've come back a bigger person. Probably. *laugh*

I kept a journal while I was there, so I'll be posting it on my blog☆

Anyway, just letting you know!
Tomorrow, I have a job with Yamada Naito-san~~☆*uki-ukki* [*excited*]

2007/12/04 - Day One *laugh*

Everyone! Thanks for all the comments!!
They're just some quick notes, but I said I would post them, so here they are *laugh*
You can read if you like.
By the way, I watched six shows all together☆

It's almost time for the Blue Sheets rehearsals to start!! I'm really looking forward to it~~
I want to get into character soon...

Las Vegas Day One
I was on the plane for ten hours. I spent six hours in L.A. before I transferred to the flight to Las Vegas.
The first ten hours, because I slept like a log, I was in L.A. before I knew it. I like that when I want to sleep, I have like this off switch that I can push, and I fall asleep like that.
It's a talent, I think.
The minute I limped into the airport, there was a casino in the lobby.
In the Las Vegas where even the lobby I arrived at was a "casino," I was greeted with another surpise.

My bag was gone!!!!!

It was the well-loved suitcase of a friend. At the belt conveyor where the baggage was supposed to come, mine was never brought out.
I tried to talk to the guy who was in charge, but I couldn't really get through to him. He just kind of looked at me strangely.
Was it because my English was bad, or was it the guy.......
It was probably both.
Anyway, "I can't just leave it to him," I thought, so I went around the airport to look, with my 15 kilos of carry-on luggage in hand.
When I found my bag at the office, I told the guy "Senkyuu." I wanted to thank him, but because my repertoire of words was so small, I could only remember kindergarten level words.

The city was random and expensive, and I didn't feel anything, traveling alone. Anyway, "Why is it so expensive?" was about the only the I felt.

Because there are casinos everywhere.

For gambling, it's amazing.

The whole city was like a separate dimension where money just went away.
I wanted to experience the casinos at least once, to get a hit, not expecting to win, but I knew that it was important to know when to stop.
I just wanted to keep going until I broke even.
In the end, I stopped before I broke even with forty dollars in hand.
It was a fun experience.

This day, because of all the time on the plane and the time change, there were no shows on the schedule, so I just walked around town taking pictures.

By the way. ○C○ Card isn't accepted everywhere outside Japan. It didn't seem to work at most places.
So I have to survive on $300 cash, huh.....

Continued tomorrow.
