Finally, the inbound trip is over!! Kind of stupid, the itinerary, make us spend so much $$$$ just to go a few places only... The meal at Marina Mandarin was okay, nothing to wow about... But I loved the tour of the Presidental Suite, it was so cool, it was ultra big, probably slightly bigger than our normal HDB flat, the design and decoration was knda old fashioned though, and it is ultra expensive, $3,000 per night!!! (@___@)"' I liked the talk by STB, the presentation was quite nice, especially the part on the advertisements, I like such stuff... Hehe!
But the Chinatown and Little India trip was damn bloody hot!!! The sun was beating down on our backs and what's more, we were wearing the black TLM tees! Thought I was going to get heat stroke! The ISD visit was kinda interesting, I liked the part about the espionage, the stories were very interesting. All the guys were especially interested about the Children of God and ravens and swallows, though... (-___-)
The Night Safari became a small nightmare for me for a while... See, there was this creature of the night show and they had live animals as part of the show. One was a 10 FOOT SNAKE! (X_________X) The bloody performer said he "lost" his pet, and he was just sitting in the row behind! I was a bit scared, but logically, I knew the snake was tame. During the show, out of nowhere, he came down to our row and suddenly screamed, pointing at my feet! Xuan, who was already bit freaked out by the birds flying by our heads, starting screaming and startled me, causing me to scream in reaction. I freaked out, bringing our feet up, still having the sense to be careful with my skirt. And the idiot just said "wow, nice shoes!" I wanted to punch him in the face!! At least, the presenter apologised... Then the next moment, he started screaming again, this time at the row in front where David and Jessie and others where sitting. And from a hidden compartment in the ground, he lifted out a humogous snake!! Everyone sitting around the area was screaming and freaking out, me included. I thought I was going to faint! After the presenter calmed the crowd down, he got the actor to go on stage and asked if anyone would volunteer to carry the snake. The annoying actor wanted me to go up! My nerves were still a bit frayed around the edges and I was panicking, half of the gang was egging me on while the other was telling me not to. I decided to summon what courage I had left and stood up. Thankfully, the presenter said he needed a strong man so he asked me to sit back down. Phew! I was weak with relief...
After the show, I started to have problems with my digital camera which I accidentally dropped on the floor when I freaked out. I was a bit annoyed and angered but what could I do? We decided to stay on and walk along the trail after we took the tram where there was a speaker with an annoying accent. Was hard to breathe after a while and damn humid due to the plants and everything but being able to see the animals up close and personal was really different from seeing them afar. Really great that the Night Safari helps to conserve and protect all these animals. After that, Xuan, Pearly and I shared a cab...
