Adventures of so many sorts! Yeah!

This summer has been crazy! And it seems everyone is doing updates so it's probably my turn.

The conference in France was pretty awesome. I got to present my work in the Conclave at the Pope's Palace in Avignon. It was sweet. Also pretty. And fortunatly the presentation actually went really well. After the conference I met up with my folks who decided France was a pretty awesome place to be. We went and visited castles, and a roman aquaduct and what not. I always need more castles.

This summer was also a revolving door sort of summer at my house. Lyndsey was at my house for two months while doing a phsyical therapy rotation at UVA. It was really nice getting to hang out with her all the time again. Someone around to poke! We also had Erin's little sister here for about two months while she did a summer language program at UVA. Mer's cats and most of her stuff moved into my house the begining of July. Ian came to visit for a week and half the end of July. It was lots of fun to get to see him again. We adventured around Cville, even made it up to Luray caverns. So pretty! Then Erin and her sister moved out the begining of August and Mer moved in. Things are finally settling down, and much simpler with only two people living in the house.

This summer I also worked lots on writing up my Masters. I defended my Masters last Thursday. Now I'm just making a few correctins, and getting it printed and bound. Then Masters done! Next week i start working for Dr. Opila on Silicon Oxide coatings. Should be an adventure!

There were also so many awesome kids and weddings recently! I provided a pirate ship pinata for KT's bachlorette party (I think thats really all you need to know about that.) I got to be a bridesmaid in Katie and Chester's wedding, which was lots of fun and happiness! They are the cutest! And there were so many awesome people there that I got to hang out with. The weekend after Laura and Samwise's weddings had me driving lots, but happy to see both of them so happy! Yeah for so many happy kids! And the day after their weddings I got to help my sister with her annual tea party. Mmmm tasty shortcakes.

So it's deffinetly been a busy, busy summer with a lot of adventures. However, there have many many fun times and lots of friends so it's been pretty awesome.

Now it's time to start further adventures with new classes and research starting next week.
