Grecian Dreams and Woes of little meaning

Ever have that feeling where you're busy but you have nothing to show for it? That's where I'm at right now. Where is my time going?

On to better things :)

I had a Greek dream Tuesday night! Ok, I think it was a dream. In my 'dream' Cappie was hinted at being Joshua.
More Greek things:
I loved the Max and Casey parts. That couldn't even be any sweeter. The whole tie in with the constellations....so perfect \o/

I really think fandom has ruined published sex for me. I was reading Kushiel's Justice, a fantasy series that has touches of erotica, and I was going through some of the sex scenes and in my head I was like 'I've read hotter than this'. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've been reading fanfiction for close to 9 years now and I've read a lot of it. I've read from G to NC-17. I've read fictional accounts of almost every kink (furries, scat, water sports, bondage, pain, etc--I know I still can't believe I've read some of that). I've read het, m/m, f/f, m/f/f, orgies. Sure, I have my preferences, and I've been reading less lately, but I have read it.

So I guess the point (or lament...wow my life is so hard with my erotica woes) is that after experiencing fandom, published fiction has to be on another level to even compete. So maybe I should disregard those blurbs that say how daring a book is and just go with different expectations.

What else did I realize about the book? I don't really like first person pov. I find something more immediate in that pov and with the protagonist being a guy, moments when he's 'entering her...blahblahblah', I'm like 'nope, not me, unless I have a seriously long finger or some bought assistance'.  But, I did like the book enough, but I wouldn't buy it.

I hope you guys have read that fic featuring Steven Smith and bandom----it was most excellent :)

( One day I will rec an AU because you'd think I don't read them with their obvious lack of appearance on my recs post)

these are my shows, sometimes i think
