Somehow The World Cup has me in it's grasp and most of my days are filled with watching a ball be kicked up and down an obscenely large field by various hot men who are punished for taking off their shirts (one of the worst rules ever!); I've seen records being broke, celebratory dances, a match so boring I thought I'd never watch soccer again, and underdogs surprise even if they don't win.
Yes, I caught the North Korea vs Brazil match today and it was awesome. Check out the

The funny thing about not having any firm allegiance (my only wish is for US not to suck and they don't suck too much so I am pleased) is that I pick random things to cheer for: if everyone seems to think another team is going to win, I usually root for the underdog, or if I really like the uniform. Mostly I'm just in it to see how the game is played because this is the first time I've paid any attention to soccer/football.
Tomorrow laundry and Spain!
Oh and I have listened to half of The Gaslight Anthem's latest; it's not getting me as much as The '59 Sound but I do like it.
