this interaction concept's rather nifty sometimes

So somewhat late-ish Tuesday evening three friends from Knox showed up at my apartment--they're road-tripping out to Washington state to pick up another friend before heading back to Knox for classes. They left this morning before I had to run off to class. We had fun. Alli put together my bookcase, I wrote in their journals, Jackie took as many compromising pictures and caught as much silliness on the video camera as she could, I tickle-attacked KC as often as possible, and we only drank a little alcohol. It was marvellous to see 'em again. And today after class I had a late lunch/early supper with a couple of the other first-year grad students. There seems to be a handful of us who met up last week who have exchanged contact info and stuff so we'll have our own little support group through the next year or two. So, yay.

On the other hand, I started developing a sore throat last night, woke up numerous times this morning thinking I felt somewhat feverish, and have all day been feeling--off. Just a little off, not enough to stop me from attending class and getting some reading done (though I didn't start working on any of my short papers), but enough that I feel just a leetle out of phase with the rest of the planet. Should probably try to go to bed early tonight and sleep as long as possible. This will require not fretting about finding a job for the semester or if I should audit that fourth class or just drop it. *rolls eyes at self*
