Finally, I am catching up on last weekend's Doctor Who.

"They gave me a badge with my name on it in case I forget!...because sometimes I do." Oh, how I howled. If only somebody had thought to give Eight a badge during the Earth arc, I'm sure all his troubles would have been solved.

Also, I think Craig's son has been reincarnated from a czar. Peasants? Hmph. (That said, how much do I enjoy the Doctor calling him Stormy? Thiiiiiiiiis much.)

The Doctor's "I love you Craig" feint so totally reminded me of Jenny in the "The Doctor's Daughter." Just an fyi.

Aww, Cybermat! Hello, little Cybermat! If only you were invading my mother's kitchen and not an actual proper mouse...wait, I think I've got the wrong end of the stick here.

(Psssst, show, here's a thought: STOP KILLING OFF THE CHARACTERS OF COLOR, you might stop pissing off a lot of your fanbase if you managed that.)

(...I don't think I ever expected to hear myself think, KILL OFF MORE WHITE PEOPLE! And yet, here I am.)

OMG Eleven is brilliant at kids and babies, isn't he? I don't know that any of his other incarnations could possibly have been this brilliant with kids and babies. Two, perhaps. Seven wasn't too bad with Ace's mum [ETA: argh, duh, hello]. But Eleven has to win at kids, hands down.

Cranky, old person rant: I dislike it when the Doctor uses modern lingo that ties him to a specific era. "You changed the desktop," "I have an app for that." DON'T DO THAT. Also, don't swear.

The Cybermen have never been more of a plot device than in this episode, have they? I mean, they're really pretty superfluous to the story except as a plot device. I think I like them better this way.

...okay, seriously, time is eating itself in this series. EATING ITSELF. Nobody's timeline makes sense anymore, does it?
