"Luther"

I was going to wait to say anything until after the final episode, but I just keep thinking about it.

I really did not expect all the self-destructiveness to be catalyzed by Reed. I honestly thought he was the sane one. Well, one of the sane ones--Teller and Ripley both know what they're doing; and I admire and worry for Teller more and more each week after seeing who and what she has to contend with, namely her DCIs, and my only hope is that Ripley gets out of all this alive and reasonably intact.

I just did not see Reed coming. And dammit, it pisses me off; I liked him, he was quiet and beleaguered and wryly charming for it, and I was just sure it would be Luther's own self-destructiveness that would set everything off. But of course, that's only a major part of it, not all of it.

(kindkit, I see what you meant by that pop music montage comment. If you're going to do something like that--which, really, it seems out of character for this show--at least make it a song that isn't going to throw you out of the show completely. Is the BBC taking notes from how Americans do drama or something?)

I'm a bit scared to watch the next episode, really.
