So, when one goes to Santa Fe, what does one take pictures of?

I think the signage said this house was built in 1780? It had been moved to the grounds of the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, I think in the past twenty years or so, and a father and son pieced it back together (mortise and tenon construction) without looking at any blueprints or anything. In any case, is that not an awesome door? I love doors. I could probably cause loads of car wrecks with all the doors I oooh and ahhh over while driving. Thankfully this door I could walk right up to without having property owners freak out at me. (The roof support piece is also a pretty nifty piece of carving.)

This was in the same lot as the 1780 building. This picture, like the magnet I bought at the Museum of International Folk Art (an image of "St Jude, Patron of Lost Causes"), is in honor of my career. It's symbolic. Honest.

This was across the way from my hotel room. I was on the second floor. Sadly? I didn't even notice this door until my second night there.

A couple days ago, we played monkey in the middle with my stress squeeze Canadian baseball in the archives for two hours. Two hours. Granted, half an hour of that was looking for the ball because we lost it amidst the pallets of boxes, but still. That is how crazy things are right now. WE PLAY MONKEY IN THE MIDDLE TO SAVE OUR SANITY. IN THE ARCHIVES. FOR TWO HOURS.

This year when I'm unemployed, I think I shall work on tagging my LJ entries. Because that will be FUN. Yes.
