Am home. Dad and I together chipped in to get mom the complete set of Man from Uncle, but really this was an entirely selfish gift on my part. I enjoy seeing my mother happy, and I enjoy MUNCLE. It came Christmas Eve, thank goodness, or else I would have been annoyed.
Home is the same as always, and always just a little bit different, and I took a walk down the street up the hill past the ponds tonight, and it was good. And now I should go help mom make dinner, and then later tonight we'll watch 1960s spy goodness, and tomorrow I'll go away to visit friends and, oh, it seems like a strange life I lead, if an occasionally good one.
Oh, oh, oh. Have been going through Yuletide methodically in alphabetical order, as I do every year, but since this was the first year I actually participated in it, and since I got such a wonderful story, I shall post the link to it here. Shoo, go forth, read it and leave lots of feedback while I go find the arcane piece of cooking ware that turns the fryer into a steamer so we can have zuchini tonight.
