I hope this weather lasts. Even if it proves to be a hindrance to some.

Cool with me then. It's kinda nice out. You're at home? [Just making sure.]

Just heading out the door in fact.

Tsh, fine!

[He left his room after grabbing his scarf and met up with the black hedgehog.]

So what's all this 'bout wanting to go out in the snow?

I enjoy the snow.

[He glanced at him once.]

Huh. Yeah, I guess you would. Heh, does this apply to rain too?

No, rain doesn't suit me at all. I'd much rather stay somewhere nice and dry on those days.

What, no racing through puddles? Aw, you're missin' out!

You do know this is one of the first times you've actually told me you like or prefer something.

I highly doubt I'm missing out on anything.

...Is it? Hn, I suppose. It isn't that I don't care for summer days or spring or autumn, but I've always found land covered in a layer of undisturbed snow to be most peaceful. It's calming. And very... [For some reason he just doesn't want to use the word 'beautiful' because he's a loser.] Visually appealing.

You haven't even tried it! Man, this is gonna be like the park all over again.

But yeah, it is kinda pretty, heh. You better take it in while it lasts cuz there's talk of snowball fights and building snow sculptures once we get more of the stuff!

[He looked out around the village and into the distance where the forest was, watching the snow for a moment.]

... It must've been cool for you to see snow for the first time.

[He stops, taking the time to look around them more but deftly avoiding looking at Sonic.] All weather had been something new to me at some point, yes. I couldn't well appreciate any of it at the time, when I first awoke planetside, and I knew the ideas, saw pictures, from the databanks on the ARK.

I didn't think about it until now. You knew about stuff, but you didn't actually get to experience it until way later.

[He looked up at the falling snow.]

Seeing you discover things is really cool, actually! Heh, so what'd you think? 'You remember when you saw snow for real for the first time?

I hadn't thought about it much, but I do remember the sensations. [His eyes close, thinking, remembering.] Cold and light, yet somehow solid until it settled in my fur and melted. And how it melted under my shoes. And the way everything seemed to slow down. Instead of any bustle of life, everything was still and quiet save for me. I admit I wasn't sure what to make of it all at first. To learn about it is one thing, but to experience is another. But there is something serene about snowfall. Even in the city, things seem to quiet and slow in a way.
