And kinda random, but honestly, I'm a bit pissed off at Martha right now. (Ok, yeah, I'm glad to see Francine again, very sweet - but WHAT ABOUT TOM? You'd think she'd think "Oh, I wanna be with my fiancée!")

True, but Martha's never really been one to think "Oh, I need to make sure mum's all right!" before, has she?

(Character development in LotTL aside; through most of last year she never really did put consideration to her mum/family first.)

Ok, I understnad her wanting her Mom...but for the sake of the fans (and the people who REALLY don't like Martha's mom) why couldn't it have been with Tom?! *wails* (i seem to be doing that a lot these days...)

See, I don't mind Francine; I don't really like her, but I don't totally hate her. And I do think it's sweet that for once Martha's putting her mum above everyone else. It's just like you said: fan. I like Tom. I wanted to see Tom in the finale, or at least get a Tom mention! (Seriously, that we've seen she hasn't even called him to make sure he's ok, and wasn't it UNIT that was saying parts of Africa were being hit first? You'd think that would at least get some kind of "Oh no Tom's in Africa!" response or something!)

See, now that I agree with you on, there should have been a Tom mention. A phone call or something (much like Gwen's phone call to Rhys.)
