Spoilers for Eli Stone 01x13 (Sorta)

Apr 13, 2008 23:29

You can tell my Whovianness is filtering into other fandoms when I sit down for tonight's episode of Eli Stone and immediately tell my mum: "Set your alarms - it's Earthquake Day!"  (Ha ha, welcome to the TARDIS indeed, Donna Noble - glad to have you aboard!  xD)

Do not proceed if you are an ES fan, have not yet seen 01x13 ("Waiting for that Day"), and/or don't want to be spoiled.

That being said, ho'shiz.  It's stupid, I know, but I started crying at the end.  When Eli went over to Maggie and Scott was standing next to her 'n she's all "I believed you." I just cried.  (And when they were all looking over to the bridge and you could see 'em in a line: Patti, Nathan, Eli, Maggie, and Scott.)  And yes, Ms. Marci Klein, you are a monster.  Evil bitka.  But yay for Patti, grabbin' her plant and following him right out the doors!  xD

My point of all this is a question that popped up to me watching the preview for Thursday's finale.

So, Eli's being a dolt and going through with the operation, and they're showing that something botches it up and he's all coma and meeting God (I really shouldn't want Morgan Freeman guest-starring as bad as I do), but here's the thing: he made a living will.  Which Dowd the Dumbass made as heartless as possible, per Eli's request.  My thing is, though, if he goes into a coma without the possibility of waking up that paper says to kill him.

So how're they gonna work around it, if he's trying to get a message out?  And will the surgery have to end before the aneurysm's actually removed?  I know the earthquake didn't hit Weathersby & Klein as hard as it hit, oh, say the Golden Gate Bridge (thank you thank you thank you - I saw Jordan not leaving and had a mini panic attack, 'cause I love him 'n so don't want him dead), but still - I keep hoping maybe they left the will at the office and it's been lost before anything could be done with it (y'know, like official copies 'n such made 'n notarized).  All I know is I really really love this show, 'n I'm gonna be so pissed if they decide to off it after just one fantastic season.  DON'T KILL ELI PLZKTHNX.

fandom, eli stone
