Well, it's not...ok, yeah, it's totally true...

So, for those who didn't know, my Granpa's been looking for a car for me for a while now.  He was trying to get Aunt Ethel's car when she was selling it, but that fell through when she sold it to someone else.  'Nyway, one of his neighbors has relatives that work at a church where they donate cars 'n such (for them to fix up 'n sell), 'n he got one recently that he's gonna sell to Granpa.  It's a little red, '89 Nissan, 'n it's only got around 51,000 miles on it (honestly - they've got the original deed 'n everything confirming it).  Uncle David said it should be good 'til around 200,000, so it's got a bit of life left in it.  He's got a few more things to do to it (redoing the gasline/fix a rust spot/have Uncle David do a final check-over/etc.), then he's gonna bring it up.

ANYWAY~  He had us go down tonight to check it out, 'n yeah...it's cute.  xD  It's low, so I'm gonna have to get used to that (Mum's always driven high cars - she's got an Escape now, 'n she used to drive a Windstar), but it's nice.  Except they've currently got the backseat ripped up to fix the gasline, so the interior smells like a mechanic's shop.  We don't know if it has AC, but Granpa said it did have heat, so that's a plus.  The whole point I've been getting to, though, is that I forgot to check to see if it had a radio.  I was telling Mum about the car on our way home, 'n then it hit me that I had forgotten.

ME: "...it might not have a radio."
MUM: "...oh God, you're gonna die!"

-headdesk-  Ok, yeah, so that's true...I'm hoping it does, but...I'll manage if it doesn't.  I'm just trying to figure out if I should be insulted or not, 'cause well, yeah, it's true, but still.

Anyway, pretty happy about it all, 'cause if I go out of state for college (like I've been planning) I'm really gonna need a car, and this is a nice one.  Granpa said it should be ready in abotu six weeks, so here's hoping~.

P.s.: 18 on Monday.  =D
