Things are pretty bad over here, folks. We've lost our auto insurance because we couldn't pay the bill...wait. I need to back up. Let's start with--
Beginning of the week, we find out that Matthew does have Spinal Stenosis. It's affecting the ankle he broke last year, making it hurt pretty much 24/7. Now we have an appt to meet with his doctor on Monday, to discuss a referral to a pain management specialist. He's started physical therapy, and he's been told for now, no lifting anything over 35lbs (and they'd prefer no lifting, period); no standing for more than a few minutes, and no walking a lot. In short, he's to stay off it, and he can't work until he's cleared.
Megan's working, and really likes her job, but. They're getting ready to expand, bringing in more products. Meanwhile, they're short techs and the techs they do have don't know what they're doing (according to her), and lines keep shutting down. So they've been sending all the temps home... she's worked one day in the past week. We don't know about tonight, yet. Her paycheck for next week will be probably about $125, which is about one third what it should be/needs to be.
Yesterday, while running errands, we had a tire blow out. Fortunately we weren't going very fast, we didn't lose control of the car and no one was injured. (Except the tire.) We had to call for roadside assistance because our jack was too rusted to get it to work, and our doughnut spare was flat. *sigh* When I called the number on my insurance card, we were told we didn't have the roadside thing... so out of pocket for that, plus fixing the tire. We need new tires, etc. etc.
So, the GFM. *sigh*
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and welcomed, even if it's just signal-boosting. Hopefully, Matthew will be able to return to working in the next few months, and things will settle. *fingers crossed*
