Car accidents suck. The end.

So. I got in my first car accident today. Suffice to say I kind of cried myself silly. Still a bit jittery but yeah. At least it wasn't technically my fault.

Basically I was coming around this turn and then my car kind of just... sputtered out. Like it wouldn't go or anything. I was kind of freaking out but most people were going around me so I was like, ok self, chill the fuck out. So I put on my Hazards and was doing my damnedest to get it started... and all of a sudden I heard basically the worst fucking thing you can hear when you're in a car. "Screeeeeeech!" and then WHAM. Fuckin. Just. BOOM.

My head snapped to the side but there wasn't any airbag deployment, thank god for that. The force was enough to push my car(which I'm pretty sure was in Park so it shouldn't have moved at all) out of the middle lane and over to the side. Now by this point I was barely holding back my impulse to FREAK THE FUCK OUT. I got scared because I thought the other car was driving off and I didn't get it's license plate number, but it pulled over a little ways ahead.

Luckily a CHP Officer pulled up behind me(even though I wasn't on the freeway. Weird right?) in fairly good time, and he walked over and asked if I just got hit, to which I replied WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK? ...Ok no, but I was thinking it. I said "Yes, sir" in my shaky, jittery, freaking-out-inside voice like a good little girl. And then he asked if I was ok and if the other car drove off. After I pointed out where the other car was, he went over and talked to the guy while I called my dad and freaked out some more (how original right?) and then he came back and used his patrol car to push my car more out of the way so I didn't get hit again(omgggg I would have DIED).

Even though my hands were shaking more than a new vibrator, and my voice was all cracky and barely intelligible, I successfully exchanged information with the guy while another cop(Concord PD this time) pulled up on a bike. The CHP dude left and eventually so did the guy that hit me, but the other cop stayed and called me a tow truck and waited with me for my dad and the tow truck to arrive. He also had to block traffic with his bike so I didn't get hit again. He was really nice and sympathetic and I think this had a lot to do with the fact that he could tell I was LOSING MY SHIT. Plus: Both officers did confirm that the accident was not my fault. (Minus: it didn't make me feel a single bit better)

And then a bunch of boring shit happened and basically my car got towed and idk exactly what's gonna happen now, but my mom wants me to go to the doctor tomorrow just in case. I don't know if my car is fixable or not, but chances are it's done for. My dad said the back axel is probably broken, and my back left break light was all the way smashed into the trunk which wouldn't close anymore. And the dude's front bumper was stuck in my back left wheel well. idefk how THAT happened. :( Not that it was an amazing car(obvs since it freakin DIED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD) but still, it kind of sucks that this happened /UNDERSTATEMENT.

Idk how much money we're gonna get for it if they can't fix it, so everything kind of just sucks right now. Money's already tight without this happening so I feel pretty bad about it. And shaken up. And like... I don't really feel like driving ever again?

important things, life, omg, about me
