Quarter-life crisis?
So umm...
I don't think I'm gonna do music as a major anymore...
When the hell did this happen? I've wanted to do SOMETHING in music for years! Teach music at a highschool, teach guitar, be a soundguy or something like that, recording studios, anything.
But I've all of the sudden lost interest. All motivation to make a career in music is completely gone.
Now don't get me wrong here. I still love music. I'm still gonna play guitar, and take lessons and all that jazz.
But I'm kind of freaking out. Because for the first time in my life, ever, I have absolutely no clue what I want to do with my life. And honestly, that scares me a bit.
So, in other news, I've become pretty much infatuated with Incubus. I now, within one week, own every album, and bought their live DVD, which is one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen in my life. I actually spent an hour coming up with a 14 song Incubus mix, with all their best songs. I then took about a half an hour listening to them and ordering them in the right way, so that the CD as a whole just flows. Yeah... I told you I was obsessed (infatuated).
I'm seeing Evanescence at the Glens Falls Civic Center with Kyle and Amanda. April 5th can't come soon enough. Pretty sure we're gonna get there 3 or 4 hours early to try and get as close to the stage as possible.
(And now for something COMPLETELY different)
I've been doing this thing every day for the past couple months or so. Every day I give a person I hung out with that day my "Hero of the Day" award. Which basically just means Billy Frank thinks they win at life. I'm not sure why, or when exactly I started doing this, but I pretty much don't miss a day. It might actually be kinda funny if I printed out sheets of paper that say they won it. Like:
CONGRATULATIONS!

By receiving this award, let it be known that on

an overall amazing person.
It would of course have a really fancy gold border around it.
Yeah.... I'm a little bit weird, but I think it would be cool :-P
So I've been thinking about making some sort of list all day. So here's a list of things that I love right now:
1. My job in the video department. Honestly... Can it get any easier? I sit back in my personal space, in the most comfortable chair of all time, do a couple rolls of film, turn on my iPod speakers, play solitaire (I'm a beast at Solitaire), talk to people who come visit me, and watch movies. Plus, I have no superiors around when I'm working, and there isn't a lot of business (especially on a wednesday night). Love it.
2. Incubus. Particulary their "Alive at Red Rocks" DVD. It rocks so hard. It'll pretty much make an Incubus fan out of anyone.
3. My guitar. I love everything about my guitar. I won't go into specifics :-P
4. My iTunes library. Ranging from Broadway shows (The Producers, Spamalot) to metal (Metallica, Megadeth) to any kind of rock (About 50% of the songs) to Dave Matthews, Billy Joel, Ska, Jazz fusion, to Stevie Ray Vaughn and everything in between. Now having 2450 songs.
5. Mythbusters. Best show on television. Period.
I'm actually pretty tired right now, so if nothing in this entry makes sense, that would be why.
Also, I think this might be my longest update in quite some time.
