It would appear that the house warming party is not in fact cancelled.
The vendor has rolled over and kicked their legs in the air; they are going to carry out all of the essential work to the house, provide documented guaruntees on the work and then pay for half of the re-survey costs in order to satisfy our paranoia.
We are due to therefore get our keys either . . . just before Christmas or just after it.
We have nothing to sit on - does anyone out there in LJ land know of anyone with a spare sofa?
