There are very few lazy days in my life

Nov 26, 2024 20:43

... although I'm wildly determined to have one tomorrow. Let's hope I can because my feet are killing me, and I'm in serious need of some sleeping in, quiet crafting and a bit of writing.

Today was busy again. First, I've boxed all the cookies I made yesterday. Then we waited for the delivery of Mum's pension. After that I went to the supermarkets because we had run out of essential food items like milk, yogurt and fruits. I also paid our corner café a visit (we couldn't go last week because of the lousy weather and the roadworks that would have made Mum navigating around them too dangerous) and brought home two croissants, which we ate for lunch with café. Yeah, we are a bit unconventional, have you noticed? ;))

Then the physiotherapist lady came and I left for choir practice, since our Christmas concert is around the corner. It is maddening how fast time flies! On my way there I dropped by to Aldi and happened to buy a lot of stuff; among other things Spätzle and pecan nuts because they were to have for a reduced price. Which meant, as always, that I spent a lot of money I hadn't originally planned spending, but well, these things keep and won't get cheaper later on.

Choir practice went well enough. We went through our Christmas programme, paid our parts for the jubilee expenses and ate the leftovers from the massive (and extremely yummy chocolate cake we had ordered for the jubilee party.

Crafting-wise I've finished the stitching of another Christmas card; just the stitching part, though. I'll make the actual card tomorrow and perhaps take a photo, too. ;)

There wasn't much time for writing today. I've written exactly one paragraph; basically a bit of world-building, which is always fun. Let's hope potential readers will see it that way, too.

H. called half an hour ago. It seems her pacemaker is still in good working order; the battery will hold for another eight months. No replacement surgery before Christmas, which is a great relief.
