Angel doll attempt - take one

Oct 26, 2024 21:46

So, here is my finished little angel doll. I'm not entirely happy with her, especially the face turned out a bit weird, but for a first attempt it will do. I intend to make at least one more.

And since two angels are better than one, I've also made a stitched angel card - well, the stitched part anyway. I'll make the card itself tomorrow or the day after.

Other than that, we had laundry day, I cooked lunch - fried fish fingers with Rösti - and read some fanfic on Methuselah-the-laptop. As it no longer connects with the internet (since my antivirus programme had run off and the update refuses to run on Windows XP) I save lots of fanfic on a data stick and read on Methuselah off-line. The word processor isn't choosy, thank God, and it's so much more comfortable lying on my belly and still reading on a reasonably large screen.

Oh yes, and the writing still goes on reasonably well, for which I'm grateful.

Tomorrow I'll have to go grocery shopping because the fridge is empty again. One would think that two people won't each that much, but in fact I always only buy small amounts of food because it's unsure when Mum can't eat this or that, and otherwise stuff would go to waste, which we both hate.
